What day is the event? Where is it located? The Forward Award Recognition event takes place on Thursday, October 9 th in the Memorial Union’s Great Hall. (800 Langdon St, 4 th Floor)

What is the timing of the event?  The Forward Award Recognition event will begin at 5 p.m. CST and end at 7 p.m. CST. For more details on the schedule, please visit https://uwalumni.com/events/forward-award-recognition/

Note: There is a VIP pre-reception that starts at 4:30 p.m. for selected invitees. They would have specifically registered for the pre-reception when signing up, it is not available on the standard registration. Feel free to pass them along to Makenzie if there is any confusion.

Parking: There are numerous parking ramps near Memorial Union. The closest is Lot 6, the Helen C. White Library parking garage, located across the street from Memorial Union at 600 N. Park St. Lot 46, at the corner of Lake St and Johnson St, is also a good option, as is the State Street Campus Garage at 430 N. What if I want to nominate someone for an award? Nominations can be submitted at the following link: https://uwalumni.com/about/alumni-awards/nomination-form/

The deadline to nominate an individual for the Distinguished Alumni Award is December 1, 2025 and the deadline to nominate someone for the Forward or Luminary Award is January 1, 2026. Award selections will be announced in summer 2026.
